The MuniMobile app is the official mobile ticketing app from the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency. With this app, you can conveniently purchase and use fares and passes instantly on your phone, eliminating the need for paper tickets. Whether you're on the go or planning ahead, this app offers a seamless and efficient way to access your tickets.

Here are some reasons why you'll love this app:

Here's how it works:

 <li>Choose your rider type: Adult, Senior/Disabled/Medicare, Youth, or SF Access.</li>
 <li>Select your fare: Single Trip Fare for Muni Bus & Rail, Single Ride Fare for Cable Car, or Passports.</li>
 <li>Choose the quantity of tickets you want to buy.</li>
 <li>Proceed to checkout and make payment using debit/credit card, PayPal, or Apple Pay.</li>

Q: Do I need to be connected to the Internet?
A: While a cellular network or wireless Internet connection is required for purchasing tickets, you can use and activate your tickets offline.

Q: What if my battery dies?
A: Like with paper tickets, it's your responsibility to ensure you have a valid fare at all times, so make sure to plan ahead and keep your device charged.

Important Reminders:
<ul>
 <li>Do not uninstall the MuniMobile app or erase your phone without transferring your unused tickets first. Your tickets are stored on your phone, allowing you to use them offline.</li>
 <li>In the subway, activate your purchased mobile ticket before passing through metro station fare gates. Show the active ticket to the station agent and pass through the nearest fare gate. If there is no station agent present, you can still pass through as long as your ticket has been activated.</li>
 <li>On the surface, use your purchased mobile ticket before boarding the vehicle. You can board through any door. If you prefer to show your ticket to the transit operator, feel free to board through the front door.</li>
 <li>For Cable Car, use your purchased mobile ticket once you are on board. Show it to the Cable Car conductor.</li>
 <li>Ensure you monitor your battery level as you're responsible for having a valid fare at all times.</li>
 <li>Create an account before purchasing tickets to transfer unused tickets in case you get a new phone. Note that only unused tickets can be transferred, so make sure to use up any activated tickets before switching devices.</li>
